1Thessalonians 4:15-18 ~ 15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive [and] remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. 16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive [and] remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
We recently watched the video of Jesse Duplantis’ time in Heaven. Some of the first words of Jesus to him were “Tell my people that I am coming soon”.
The reason we are to tell people that Jesus is coming back is it is the cutoff time for souls to be saved.
Today is the day of salvation and we could miss going to Heaven if we put off confessing Jesus as Lord and Savior until a later day. The Bible says that He is coming as a thief in the night, at a time when we think not. Matthew 25:1 tells the parable of the ten virgins: five were wise and five were foolish. The wise kept their lamps filled and trimmed and were watching and waiting for the bridegroom. The foolish ones did not have enough oil and the wise could not lend them any because they might not have enough for themselves. We must be ready at all times. Jesus can come at any moment.
Are you ready?
