“Poured Out” is a way of life. It’s the title of our current series but it also speaks of something deeper. We pour ourselves out to God in prayer and worship and God pours His Holy Spirit out on us. This is an intimate exchange in which we receive our true identities as sons and daughters of God. The Holy Spirit is no respecter of persons. It doesn’t matter what you’ve done or who others think or say you are….all it requires is a humble heart before God to receive Jesus and the gift of the Holy Spirit. Let us come and receive.
Matthew 11:28-30 Amplified Bible (AMP)
28 Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy-laden and overburdened, and I will cause you to rest. [I will ease and relieve and refresh your souls.]
29 Take My yoke upon you and learn of Me, for I am gentle (meek) and humble (lowly) in heart, and you will find rest (relief and ease and refreshment and recreation and blessed quiet) for your souls.
30 For My yoke is wholesome (useful, good—not harsh, hard, sharp, or pressing, but comfortable, gracious, and pleasant), and My burden is light and easy to be borne.
