By Martha Curry:
Fear can dissipate all hope we have for 2015. This past week we heard of the shootings in Paris; also we repeatedly hear of the attacks on police.
Each time we put the news on we hear news that can cause much fear. As I shared earlier when Pastor had the stroke on December 16th…that night I tried to sleep in the waiting room at St. Francis in Peoria. I held (clung to) my Bible all night. The first scripture my eyes fell on in the morning was “do not fear”
Today as I looked through my concordance I counted over 0 verses saying “Fear Not”.
II Timothy 1:7 says, “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”
To obtain peace and hope for 2015 may we encourage you to read Psalm 91 daily over yourself and your family. Psalm 91:10 (AMP) says, “There shall no evil befall you, nor any plague or calamity come near your (home) tent.”
In Psalm 91:16 God says, “With long life will I satisfy him (you), and shew him (you) my salvation.
